This is a Roman bridge known as Passo Honroso, as a tribute to the battle that the Leonese knight Suero de Quiñones fought out of love in 1434.
This bridge unites the memory of Jacobean pilgrimages with the most moving chivalric event in history: Don Suero de Quiñones’ “passo honroso”. It is a national landmark.
The Justas Medievales (Medieval Tournaments and Jousting) festival, declared to be of National Tourist Interest, is celebrated in here.
